Always wanted to learn how to scuba dive and see the world beneath the waves? This course will give you the necessary knowledge and skills to safely experience the underwater world. First dives in a swimming pool and in safe waters are the focus of this course. This scuba diving certification is recognised around the world. It entitles you to rent diving equipment in any dive shop, to participate in diving activities and to continue your journey with further courses.

Theory
The theory will be aquired in advance by the participants.

Requirements
Good swimming skills
- Medical certificate (not older than 1 year)
- Minimum age: 15 years (10 years for PADI Junior Open Water Diver)

If a physical manual is desired by the participant, it can be purchased for the regular price in our shop.
Equipment
The diving equipment (excluding ABC equipment) is provided in this course. Your own ABC equipment (mask, snorkel, footies, fins) is required.
Course Type
Group courses offered by us are advertised with fixed dates (see "Course dates"). If you have a busy schedule or want to enjoy individual attention, we recommend the VIP course. The private course is designed for a self-formed small group of two or three people. For VIP or private course bookings, please indicate a few possible dates in the "Message" field when you register.
PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)
You can complete your PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) certification together with the PADI Open Water Diver. With a combination of PADI Open Water Diver and PADI Enriched Air Diver you benefit from a CHF 40 price reduction.
PADI Dry Suit Diver
You can also complete the PADI Open Water Diver course in a dry suit (PADI Dry Suit Diver) at any time. This option is ideal for cold seasons. There are additional shallow water exercises and an additional open water dive to complete. Bookable on request and for an additional fee. In the winter months this option is mandatory and already included in the course price.
Insurance
Insurance is in the responsibility of the participant. We recommend a membership with the Schweizer Unterwasser–Sport–Verband SUSV.
General Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy
We refer to our general terms and conditions, in particular to the cancellation policy. The mentioned registration fee is CHF 60.00 per participant.
